A smoky, well-balanced taco seasoning built around ancho chilli for deep flavour without overpowering heat. This version acts just like the store bought kind, with cornstarch to thicken and sugar to help with caramelization.

Equipment

  • Jar or Airtight Container
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Ancho Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Mexican Oregano
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Coriander.
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes To add Spice
  • 1 tsp Corn Starch Used the thicken
  • 1 tsp Sugar For Caramelization

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients thoroughly. Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

Notes

How I Use It

  • Per 1 lb / 450 g meat: 2 tbsp
  • Add: 1/4–1/3 cup water or broth
  • Simmer 5–8 minutes until saucy and coated
